Angela Flannigan
Angela is the newest and prettiest member of Flashback. Originally from St. Louis, she was born on January 31 and attended the University of Miami, where she studied studio jazz. Angela transferred to the University of Georgia in the fall of 1990 and completed her degree in Music Therapy. Her 10 year vocation is helping the special population (mental retardation, mental illness, substance abuse, and other disorders) through the use of music. In July 2000, Angela teamed with her husband, Ben McRee, at The Guitarist's Resource Center and started her own private business called MusikWorks. It offers Kindermusik, music therapy, and vocal instruction.
While at school in Miami, Angela performed with several bands covering a wide range of music including Jazz, Top 40, and Latin. Since living in Rome, she has played locally with Applescraps, Ready Or Not, The Georgians, and has done vocal and percussion work for 3 different CD's recorded at Seven Hills Studios.
Angela's taste in music is very eclectic--Jazz, Blues, Rock 'n Roll, Classical, Motown, Folk and her favorite artists are just as broad--Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Robert Plant, James Taylor, and Dina Washington. Her wide range of musical influences enhances Flashback's Song list. Angela's interest outside of music include gardening, cooking, canning (pickles, Jellies, etc.), hiking on her and Ben's 13 acres of mountain, and caring for their animal rescues (7 dogs and 4 cats in all). She loves to read Steven King and Dave Barry. Favorite movie: The Princess Bride.
