Flip Moore

Flip plays guitar, keyboards, and sings lead vocals.   He's originally from Rock Hill, S.C. where he studied music at Winthrop University.   His first band was a "garage" band called Daystar.  He and three friends started playing in clubs before they were old enough to legally get in them!   He's played professionally full-time on the East Coast with several bands including Fortune, Rhapsody, and Main Event.  Flip's worked with a few national acts like Billy Scott & The Prophets, The Drifters, and The Platters and has released a 45 rpm record (boy does that date him or what!) called "I Wanna Beach Girl."

On his daughter Lauren's second birthday, Flip came off the road and got a "real" job with Independent Life Insurance Company.   He and his wife Lisa moved to Rome when he was promoted to District Manager in 1991.  On February 10, 1997, Flip had a serious car accident that he rehabilitated from for two years at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Ga.  Now fully recovered, he is part owner of JLS Telecom, LLC developing automated calling services like SchoolCall.

Flip's birthday is September 4 (Virgo).  He enjoys Golf, Tennis, and Personal Computing and enjoys spending time with Lisa and Lauren.   Flip says his musical influences were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Motown.  Some of the new artists he likes are Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Steven Curtis Chapman and Sheryl Crow just to name a few.   His favorite guitarists include Chet Atkins, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson and Eric Clapton.
