James Willis
The addition of James has helped complete the band's sound. He plays keyboards and sings back up vocals. Born on October 5, James is a native of Georgia. He graduated from Shorter College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. James is usually surrounded by women; his daughters Ellen and Virginia.
James' life is centered around music. He plays in several other bands in the Rome area including: The Georgians and Clock Tower Jazz Ensemble. He has been the pianist in several productions of The Rome Little Theatre. James has worked in recording studios both locally and in Nashville, Tennessee.
James' musical tastes vary from bands like Chicago to Little Feat, but his early piano influences stem from Elton John. When asked what music he listens to now, James simply says, "Whoever's on the practice tape!"
Some of James' hobbies are bicycling (several days a week when time allows) and spending time with his family. He also enjoys playing "stump the band." James is a walking Karaoke machine. He can literally play thousands of songs. Here's a challenge. At the next gig, try to name a song from the past. I'll bet you can't stump him!
